The eleven featured nonprofit organizations including, The Arc of Mid-Michigan, Durand Union Station, Lebowsky Center for the Performing Arts, Respite Volunteers, SafeCenter, Shiawassee Arts Center, Shiawassee Humane Society, Shiawassee Regional Chamber of Commerce, Steam Railroading Institute, Voices for Children and the YMCA, will share their histories, missions, and the lives they have touched through photographs, storyboards, memorabilia and personal stories.
Visitors are invited to share written memories of any of our featured nonprofit organizations by completing a memory card. In return, visitors will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win exciting prizes, including: tickets the Lebowsky Center, clay classes at the Shiawassee Arts Center, gift baskets from the Cook Family Foundation and Durand Union Station, youth camp experience at the YMCA, gift certificate from The Arc of Mid-Michigan, and complimentary North Pole Express tickets from the Steam Railroading Institute.
The Shiawassee Arts Center will be open with extended hours from 5-7:30 pm during each Moonlight Market and Amphitheater Concert on July 9, 16, 23, 30 and August 6, to explore local art, culture and the Year of the NonProfit exhibit.
